OVERSEAS è la prima parte di una trilogia sulle condizioni di lavoro in alto mare, realizzata dal duo di artisti altoatesini di Amburgo TÒ SU, Martina Mahlknecht und Martin Prinoth. Quest’installazione immersiva lavora con mezzi documentaristici e performativi ed è stata creata in collaborazione con sei lavoratori marittimi provenienti dall’atollo di Kiribati nel Pacifico, rimasti bloccati nel porto di Amburgo durante la pandemia di Covid-19. OVERSEAS presenta, da una prospettiva interna, il traffico globale delle merci e la vulnerabilità di questo sistema. Vicino anzittutto alle persone, tratta di orgoglio, nostalgia e separazione, rischi ambientali e climatici.
