Stimmen / Voci - Stimmlos / Senza voce
Brunnen der Erinnerung / Sorgenti di memoria
In 2018, Russian singer and composer Natalia Pschenitschnikova traveled across Ukraine recording her conversations with people in their 80s and 90s. She asked them what their earliest memories of sound were, often bringing up personal and deeply hidden memories. In Voce. Sorgenti di memoria, the artist brings them together and share them for the first time, making them resonate in the spaces of the Dormizil. In light of what has taken place during the Russian war of aggression, Pschenitschnikova interprets these testimonies from the past as “an expression of deep admiration for the strength, warmth, and spiritual freedom of the Ukrainians”. In the midst of the many voices, she herself will perform the song Stimmlos accompanied by the Ukrainian singer Viktoriia Vitrenko, a work on absolute inner strength, without a voice.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Dormizil
