Billy's Violence

"Quentin Tarantino sembra un chierichetto di fronte alla violenza indomita di Shakespeare” (Jan Lauwers). In Billy’s Violence, la Needcompany affronta le dieci tragedie di Shakespeare e le trasforma in dialoghi violenti, amorosi e senza tempo in cui la donna è al centro della scena. Shakespeare portò sul palcoscenico violenza e sesso per attrarre a teatro un pubblico tristemente avvezzo alle brutalità delle torture e delle pubbliche esecuzioni. Ma cosa significa la violenza nell’arte di oggi? La percepiamo in modo diverso dal pubblico del sedicesimo secolo? Ne traiamo piacere? E se sì, perché?
Questo spettacolo sarà in inglese, spagnolo e olandese, con sottotitoli in tedesco e italiano.
Lo spettacolo contiene scene che potrebbero urtare la sensibilità di alcuni. Pertanto ne consigliamo la visione a partire dai 18 anni.
