H2 SHUTTLEBUS
The shuttle service is provided by a hydrogen supplied emission free fuel cell bus. Five of these environmentally friendly fuel cell busses are operated in the framework of the european demonstration project „CHIC“ (Clean Hydrogen in European Cities) transart.it/chic-project.eu in the city of Bozen. Goal is the diffussion of this innovative propulsion technology in the public transport. For the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Südtirol the STA –Südtiroler Transporstrukturen AG sta.bz.it/de, an inhouse company of the Mobility Department provinz.bz.it/mobilitaet, particpates in the CHIC project. The public transport operator SASA AG sasabz.it/de runs the busses on the lines 10A, 10B e 112. The hydrogen is refuelled by the iit - Institut für innovative Technologien.
