The end of silence

During a mesmerizing 20 min. performance of Martin Messier’s 8 old Singer-sewing machines, it seems like Matthew Herbert’s The End of Silence stops the time for us. Out of a 10 seconds recording of the collapsing Twin Towers that he luckily recorded in 2001, he evolved together with a Jazz trio a 1 hour sound performance.
